In The Studio – Ka’anapali Coffee Farm

Welcome back to our “In The Studio” blog series. This blog series brings you projects while they are on the table in the fabrication process. A behind the scenes look into how Padilla Designs makes the magic happen.

Enjoy the read!

Padilla Designs was commissioned to fabricate seven custom hand railings and one landing guard railing to adorn a home located on a 500 acre coffee farm, Kaanapali coffee Farms, on the beautiful slopes of West Maui.

The design offers a bamboo motif fabricated from round copper pipe with hand sculpted bronze knots. The vertical side supports have an internal stainless steel sleeve for strength and the top and bottom of each hand rail will exhibit an elegant sweeping curve. The railings will be sand blasted and finished with a dark bronze and verdigris patina with natural copper and bronze highlighting.
