Welcome back to our Padilla Designs blog! This week we are showcasing a unique design inspired by one of Hawaii’s favorite fish, the Ahi Tuna.

A simple translucent gate that was designed to withstand the severe winds in the area. Inspired by the client’s fondness of yellow fin tuna, we created a schooling effect of tunas known as Ahi’s here in hawaii.

Ahi are both beautiful and graceful predators in the open ocean. Fabricated from brass plate with a living patina finish, we were able to use positive and negative space to allow the wind to pass through easily.
