Padilla Designs Hosts “Open Studio” Presentation for Maui Architects

Padilla Designs was invited by Tim Mead, vice president of the Maui chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), to present our work at their monthly meeting in January of this year. The AIA wanted to introduce local artisan crafters, whose work can enrich spaces and buildings, to architects and designers here on Maui. We took the opportunity to sponsor a tour of our showroom, studio and fabrication shop. Attendees were offered a first hand look at the capabilities of our team, as well as samples of the materials we use in our custom metal work and our showroom display pieces.

Kaleo Padilla, Chief of Operations at Padilla Designs, led the open studio presentation. A slide show was included highlighting an overview of the materials we use as well as the processes involved from the initial concept of a design through to the fabrication, finishing and installation of our custom metal work.

The Padilla Designs ‘ohana would like to extend a special mahalo to the members of the Maui chapter of the AIA and everyone who accepted our invitation and attended our presentation. We look forward to working with you in the future!
