This week on the Padilla Designs blog series “Featured Projects“, we take you on an inside tour of one of our recently completed estate design projects for a beautiful ocean front property on Lanai.
Recently Padilla Designs completed work on a beautiful, collaborative project with Canadian design firm Cridland & Associates for a stunning oceanfront property on Lanai. The project included a double swing main entrance gate, a single swing pedestrian entry gate, a single swing utility access gate, two hand rails, and seven brass privacy sculpture walls.
This contemporary estate called for clean lines and simple, yet elegant patterns. The privacy sculptures are made of fully welded brass construction. The outer layer consists of brass framework and pattern plate, combined with an internal stainless steel support system for structural durability. The shower sculpture walls have a double sided pattern with a layer of brass sheet sandwiched between the open patterns. This creates additional privacy for the shower area and offers the decorative pattern from both inside and outside of the shower.
The main entrance gate, pedestrian gate and utility gate are all constructed of dark brass with an internal stainless steel support system. The internal weave is fabricated of brass sheet woven through round vertical members. The railings are made of rectangular brass tubing with custom wall-mounted brackets.
The gates, hand rails and privacy walls are all finished with a dark bronze patina with subtle bronze tones and natural highlights showing through. Padilla Designs’ functional art work puts the finishing touches on this stunning beachfront estate.
