Welcome to another installment of our “Featured Projects” series. This series reveals the stories behind our completed custom design projects, and helps you get to know all that came together to make them possible. Enjoy!
This client had just purchased their home on Keawakapu Beach and wanted to remodel the grand entrance to the home, adding a main gate and pedestrian gate. The Padilla Designs team manufactured a unique and stylish addition to an already beautiful ocean front estate -reconstructing the entire home entrance in our latest estate design project.
This entranceway was inspired by Shōji doors, which originated in Japan as lightweight, wood-framed, translucent paper panels, used as sliding doors and room dividers. Padilla Designs puts their creative talents to work to capture a more modern, simplistic shōji-style design, making an elegent impression as you approach the home.
With layered copper sheets as the backdrop, featuring sponged patina finish, and including brass square tubing with a bronze patinated finish as the top layer and frame, this grand entrance combination main gate and pedestrian gate are eye-catching to any passerby, and adds the perfect touch of elegance and simplicity to the estate. As a final touch, we incorporated the panels to slide both to the left and right.
